Mopar Cold Air Intake

I decided to do something a little different for this modification. Since it was so easy, I filmed a video of the install. If you can change a light bulb you can install this intake. Plan on 30 minutes to do the job.

For this modification you'll need:

Mopar CAI P/N 77060003AC

Dielectric Grease

8mm nut driver

10mm nut driver

1/4" socket

1/2" wrench

Mopar CAI Dyno: 00:29

Don't expect huge amounts of horse power from this modification. I actually dyno tested this and gained 5HP and 6 ft/lbs of torque. As the computer learns the new air intake parameters this may go up a little. Coupled with a tune it would yeild more so I need to test that down the road. I will say that it makes the engine bay look much better. Here's the dyno graph for the Mopar Cold Air Intake vs. stock. As you can see, the AFR didn't change too much either.

Three dyno runs were made for each intake, stock vs. the Mopar CAI. The vehicle had 1,336 miles on it. Here are the numbers from those runs:

Stock Intake HP
Stock Intake Torque
Mopar CAI HP
Mopar CAI Torque
Run 1: 335.08

Run 2: 333.97
