Pettys Garage Drive Shaft Safety Loop
In prepping to make a few more passes at the local drag strip and going to a better tire to improve my times, I decided to install a drive shaft saftey loop as a precaution. I looked at several and decided on the Pettys Garage loop due to it replacing the OEM transmission cross member. This meant I only gained about 2lbs of over all weight with the addition of the loop.
The install is a breeze, especially if you have access to a lift.
For this modification you'll need:
Pettys Garage Drive Shaft Safety Loop
Jack and jack stands or a lift
12mm, 14mm, 15mm sockets and socket wrench with extension
Torque wrench
15 minutes :)
